🇨🇦 Discipline: Endurance Sports

After finishing his professional cycling career in 2025, Michael Woods leaves behind an impressive legacy, including four Grand Tour stage wins, a national title, and a World Championship medal. But cycling wasn’t Michael’s only passion – he actually started his athletic career off as a runner, and is still the only person to have broken 4 minutes for the mile and competed in the Tour de France. 

Retirement from professional cycling is certainly not the end of Michael’s story as an athlete. For the two-time Olympian, it is actually just the beginning of his journey to pursue his love of other endurance sports, including triathlon, skimo, running, and off-road cycling. 

“…I still have the fitness—but I want back the purpose. So I’m doing what I did once before: starting fresh. I’ll take the engine I’ve built and test it in against the best endurance athletes in new arenas—triathlon, gravel racing, trail running, skimo, MTB. I’ll be chasing the feeling that’s defined the best parts of my career: stepping into uncharted territory and seeing what I’m capable of.”
