MICHAEL VAN DEN HAM

Michael van den Ham is a Canadian Off-Road Cyclist living in Chilliwack BC. Michael grew up on his parents grain farm in Brandon, Manitoba and discovered riding, and eventually racing, as a way to get himself around the Manitoba countryside before he had a license or vehicle. Although he never set out intending to become a professional, Michael slowly worked himself through cycling ranks and and after nearly a decade and a half, has cemented himself the most successful male cyclocross racer to ever come from Canada. When he isn’t racing and training for cyclocross, Michael spends his summers doing everything from racing criteriums, riding gravel events, taking in mountain bike stage races, to going for hikes with his wife and dog.

Highlights of his career include representing at 7 World Championships, winning 4 Cyclocross National Championships (2013 as a U23, 2017, 2018, 2019), and breaking into the top-20 on a number of occasions at the World Cup level in what is typically a European dominated sport.
